    Hey Ellie,

Thanks for reaching out! To answer your question… that really depends. Is the board for yourself? Are you buying the board for someone else?

Surfboard litres can vary depending on different surfboard types. However, it is important to keep in mind that the factors that determine how much volume will be right for you depend on the following:

    ⭐️ Your Weight,

    ⭐️ Surfing Level,

⭐️ The surfing conditions you will be surfing in.

Firstly, I think you will benefit from having a sound understanding of surfboard volume, equipment and its effects. We have a free article below that includes surf equipment tips, examples of surfboard litres by surfboard types, and even a shortboard volume calculator that you may benefit from. You can find the article here:

Volume is probably the most important element to consider when choosing a surfboard. It’s the factor that can drastically impact your paddle power, the number of waves you catch, how the board turns, and how the board keeps its speed in weaker waves. Be sure to take into account the top three factors that determine how much volume is required for you.

I hope the article provides you with a better insight/understanding into all of the above!

    All the best,
