  • Patagonia’s Yulex wetsuits: worth the price?

Posted by Jim on April 29, 2020 at 4:18 am

Has anyone tried Patagonia’s Yulex wetsuits? They are twice the price of a normal wetsuit. I’m willing to pay if the quality and durability are worth it and they actually last longer than neoprene ones…

Hey there, not sure why no one has responded to this. I bought a Yulex wetsuit in may this year, and it ripped this fall after pretty heavy (almost daily) use. Butttt I am sending it in to get it repaired free of charge, so if that helps at all.

Picked up my Patagonia wetsuit three months ago and using it 2-3 times a week. So far, so good. No tears and it’s definitely still super warm. When purchasing it from my local surf shop the guy selling it said his friend had one over a year when a panel seam tore open, but he was able to send it in and they replaced it hassle free. Hope this helps!

Ive had one for about 2 years. I rarely wear it because it isn’t as warm as advertised. Plus, the leg and arm length are kind of short.

Concerning warmth, what’s the thickness, where do you surf and the water temperature?

I’ve had good luck with their boots.

I’m in No. Cal. Water 50-55 degrees. I have an R3.
